Summary: There were 19,000 fewer published works 19 months ago, but all of them linked light-activated microRNA biogenesis from viral latency to all biodiversity via Darwin’s “conditions of life” and the physiology of reproduction.

Day 2 ended on Sep 6, 2018. Pseudoscientists and other theorists who presented failed to link light-activated microRNA biogenesis in cyanobacteria from from the production of oxygen by bacteria and the creation of uranium isotopes to biophysically constrained viral latency via the physiology of pheromone-controlled reproduction.

Significance

How biological systems robustly sustain differentiated states is under active study. Here, we find that human cytomegalovirus, a herpesvirus that is a major cause of birth defects, encodes a transcriptional positive-feedback loop that temporally extends transient activation signals carried in the incoming viral particle to sustain the viral lytic expression cycle. Attenuation of this feedback loop severely impacts virus fitness, suggesting a new antiviral target that may extend to other herpesviruses.

Our findings uncover a circuit encoded by the virus that controls its fate and indicate that such circuits may be quite common in viruses.

The circuit is energy-dependent and the quantized energy in food biophysically constrains the virus-driven degradation of messenger RNA that links mutations from herpes viruses and other viruses to all pathology.

Now, after publication of facts about how Olfaction Warps Visual Time Perception, bird watchers and butterfly collectors want you to continue to believe that Darwin’s conditions of food energy-dependent pheromone-controlled reproduction in species from microbes to mammals can be placed back into the context of natural selection for beneficial mutations.
Pseudoscientists are not going to accept the fact that Wen Zhou’s group linked the physiology of pheromone-controlled reproduction in soil bacteria to our visual perception of mass and energy in the context of the space-time continuum.
