Predicting the CRISPR Cas9 Market Collapse (4)

When I mentioned to Markus Ralser that others had linked the model of human evolution from mice to the EDAR V370A variant in human populations, he blocked me from seeing any of his past or future responses.

See: Environmental selection during the last ice age on the mother-to-infant transmission of vitamin D and fatty acids through breast milk

The frequency of the human-specific EDAR V370A allele appears to be uniquely elevated in North and East Asian and New World populations due to a bout of positive selection likely to have occurred circa 20,000 y ago.

MicroRNAs in the Intestine: Role in Renewal, Homeostasis, and Inflammation

We also discuss the functions of specific miRNAs within the intestine to better understand the cellular mechanisms that promote intestinal homeostasis, and the influence of dietary components in the regulation of endogenous miRNA in the study of nutrition and gene regulation in intestinal health.

Light-activated microRNA biogenesis in plants links changes in the diet from the biophysically constrained absorption of nutrients to the maintenance of epithelial homeostasis via ecological adaptations in the context of stress.

The assay enables a direct survey of physical and chemical conditions, potentially prebiotic, which could enable the chemical replication of RNA.

Marcus Ralser’s appeal to magic can be linked to Szostak’s ridiculous claims from the past and to retractions of the pseudoscientific nonsense that led to the collapse of the CRISPR Cas9 market.
The collapse did not happened as predicted. But see: A G-Quadruplex Structure in the Promoter Region of CLIC4 Functions as a Regulatory Element for Gene Expression

When the G4-forming sequence was mutated… there was a decrease in the endogenous CLIC4 messenger RNA (mRNA) expression level.

The virus-driven theft of quantized energy links the decrease in mRNA expression from mutations to all pathology

In conclusion, we found that the G4 structure in the CLIC4 promoter might play an important role in regulating the level of transcription.

There is no functional structure that exists outside the context of what is known about light-activated microRNA biogenesis and the physiology of reproduction, which link feedback loops to sympatric speciation via the food energy-dependent fixation of RNA-mediated amino acid substitutions.
For example, I mentioned the EDAR V370A variant to Marcus Ralser and linked it from the claims in my review Nutrient-dependent Pheromone-Controlled Ecological Adaptations: From Angstroms to Ecosystems.

Nothing known to serious scientists about the human-specific EDAR V370A allele can be placed back into the context of Ralser’s group’s claims in: Machine Learning Predicts the Yeast Metabolome from the Quantitative Proteome of Kinase Knockouts

Reaction mechanisms (Braakman and Smith, 2013), the self-regulatory nature of metabolic networks (Alam et al., 2017; Chubukov et al., 2013; Hackett et al., 2016; Millard et al., 2017), post-translational regulation (Daran-Lapujade et al., 2007; Gonc¸ alves et al., 2017; Nilsson et al., 2017; Oliveira et al., 2012), and the topological organization of metabolism that routes evolutionarily in the underlying chemistry (Burgard et al., 2004; Keller et al., 2015; Zelezniak et al., 2014) all dictate that the relationship between enzyme function and metabolites is both multifactorial and dynamic.

Changes to the yeast metabolome are quantized energy-dependent and biophysically constrained by the physiology of reproduction that links RNA-mediated amino acid substitutions to cell type differentiation in all living genera. There is no such thing as “the self-regulatory nature of metabolic networks.”  Only biologically uniformed theorists make claims about the self-regulatory nature  of anything on Earth. Those ridiculous claims fit well into the context of attempts to replace natural selection for energy-dependent codon optimality with gene-editing technology, which was doomed to fail from the dawn of light-dependent creation.
I think others may be seeing what’s at stake, and that they will see what it takes to deliver the billion dollar baby mentioned in “Get Well in the RNAi Way-RNAi, A Billion Dollar Baby in Therapy.”

RNAi has targeted exogenous genes in models of viral infection…

When more investors learn that the NIH was added to the patent for naturally occurring RNA guided human genome engineering, the pseudoscientific nonsense of theorists may end.
Hopefully, we will see nothing more like this: Schrödinger’s cat among biology’s pigeons: 75 years of What Is Life?

Schrödinger’s thoughts on the entropic balance of life can be regarded as precursors to studies of how biological prerogatives such as replication, memory, ageing, epigenetic modification and self-regulation must be understood as processes of non-equilibrium complexity that cannot ignore the environment. It is intriguing that similar considerations of environment and contingency are now seen to be central in quantum mechanics, with its ideas of entanglement, decoherence and contextuality. Whether this is more than coincidence, we can’t yet say.
