…during evolution most miRNAs evolved to avoid guanine at the 5′ end… but some tumor-suppressive miRNAs evolved “…presumably to eliminate cancer cells.”
The code is embedded in large protein-coding ribonucleic acids (RNAs) and in small RNAs, called microRNAs, which scientists estimate evolved more than 800 million years ago in part to protect the body from cancer.
Claims that the “code” evolved to protect the body from cancer can be placed into the context of: Structural diversity of supercoiled DNA
Remember that this example of how the virus-driven degradation of messenger RNA is biophysically constrained via the light-activated creation of microRNAs in plants also appeared in a Nature Communications publication.

More than 21,000 publications on microRNAs have been published during the 18 months since the time this Precision Medicine virtual conference presentation was posted to the LabRoots site.

…the epigenetic ‘tweaking’ of the immense gene networks that occurs via exposure to nutrient chemicals and pheromones can now be modeled in the context of the microRNA/messenger RNA balance, receptor-mediated intracellular signaling, and the stochastic gene expression required for nutrient-dependent pheromone-controlled adaptive evolution.

RNA, the close chemical cousin of DNA, was once thought to be a bit player in the life of a cell, but not anymore. RNA is now at the heart of a scientific and medical revolution. It’s a revolution that started with the cultivation of a purple petunia, and it has led scientists to what may be the most important advance in biology in decades. Through a process known as RNAi (the “i” is for interference), researchers have a new way to shut off specific genes, yielding insights into the human genome as well as providing potential treatments for a wide range of diseases.
The “evolution” of RNAi was placed into the context of virus protection during the past 3 billion years via the example of the purple petunia. My counter claims are based on evidence from pink Brugmansia (Angel Trumpets).
For comparison, in 2015, George Church et al., attempted to patent naturally occurring RNAi. See: RNA-Guided Human Genome Engineering

If you find experimental evidence of biophysically constrained biologically based cause and effect that supports claims that microRNAs “evolved” during the past 3 billion to 800,000 years in any published work on microRNAs or RNA interference, please tell other theorists. They need the experimental evidence to support their ridiculous claims.
The theorists need the experimental evidence now more than ever. A Honduran horde will soon be trying to invade the United States of America and intelligent scientists claim that viruses will again invade human populations in the United States of America. Some scientists expect an outcome linked to the death of millions of Native Americans who were killed by the smallpox virus carried by European hordes. Alternatively, some scientists expect something similar to the 1918 Spanish flu. However, no serious scientist has claimed that humans have ever evolved fast enough to escape the consequences of the Virus-mediated archaeal hecatomb in the deep seafloor.
