Largest Study of CRISPR-Cas9 Mutations Creates Prediction Tool for Gene Editing 11/28/18 (Lab Manager)

CRISPR-Cas9 is an extremely important system for introducing mutations into DNA for research, and prospective therapeutic purposes.

The virus-driven degradation of messenger RNA links mutations in DNA to all pathology. Light-activated microRNA biogenesis links food energy-dependent fixation of RNA-mediated amino acid substitutions to cell type differentiation via epigenetic effects on supercoiled DNA. Supercoiled DNA prevents the degradation of messenger RNA that pseudoscientists link to the evolution of biodiversity across millions of years. In theory, evolution occurs after all the energy in the Universe automagically emerged from nothing.

It is disgusting to see one of my trade publications report on a prediction tool that links mutations to pathology and see another article on the same day that links the fossil record to evolution.

The findings confirm their earlier work suggesting that the majority of variants, including potentially harmful ones, were picked up during the past 5,000–10,000 years.

A study of the influence of pheromone stressor(s) on proliferating germ and somatic cells was performed on laboratory lines of house mouse in the context of the physiological hypothesis of mutation process, proposed by M.E. Lobashev in 1947. Data from experiments are presented, and results obtained during last 10-15 years are discussed. The adaptive role of cytogenetic and other observed pheromonal effects is considered. The possible existence of interorganism systems of genetic regulation is discussed, the search for and study of which may help in more complete understanding of the regularities of functioning of genetic material.

Project: Destabilization of the genome’s state under socially-important organismal stress in animals.

Goal: The aim of the project is to study the regulation of genetic processes during the induction of stress or other states in the central nervous system of some rodent species.

The influence of chemosignals from isolated mature females of the CBA line on level of spontaneous and radiation-induced meiotic disturbances in spermatocytes I of males of the same line was studied. Using an ana-telophase method, 24-hour exposure of males to soiled bedding containing isolated females chemosignals was shown to lead to a significantly lower frequency of chromosomal aberrations and other meiotic disturbances in spermatocytes I as compared to males kept on clean bedding. The same effect of female chemosignals was found in the reproductive cells of irradiated males (4 Gr). The mechanisms and importance of the revealed antimutagenic effect of mouse female chemosignals on the male reproductive cells in the reproduction process are discussed.

After the uproar caused by reports of CRISPRd babies, Harvard and MIT are going to take an approach that will reveal the obvious effects of food odors and pheromones on the physiology of reproduction in species from microbes to humans. But they must attempt to do this without letting anyone know that the details of what they are doing were reported in the context of RNA-mediated cell type differentiation in From Fertilization to Adult Sexual Behavior (1996)
