Attempts to discuss facts with liberals are a waste of time. They cannot believe that gun violence linked to school shootings is caused by the failed transition from adolescence to adulthood, which can be predicted by non-invasive measurement of the COMT Val158Met allele.

Dr. Sean Gallagherwrote “Huh”

Thanks for asking. See: COMT Val158Met Items: 1 to 20 of 881
Ask: When did non invasive testing become available and/or how many victims could have been saved? Then, try to put that back into a comedy routine for biologically uninformed science idiots.

Dr. Sean Gallagher Right… I’ll ignore that last bit to say, this seems too close to the bench based on the sources you’ve shared to apply to the field.

Great. I’ll share that as an example of human idiocy. See: download a sample report

The patient carries two COMT Val158Met mutations, which translates to a reduced COMT function.

Changes in the creation of this enzyme have been linked to breast cancer risk, suicidal behavior, suicide, obsessive-compulsive disorders, mood disorders, differences in motor learning, psychosis risk, panic disorder, human emotional memory, ASD symptoms in children with ADHD, addiction (alcoholism), depression, DNA repair, and with bipolar affective disorder (1997).
Link the virus-driven degradation of messenger RNA from COMT Val158Met to school shootings and gun violence or wait till an intelligent physician requests the testing for prevention.

Ashley Morgan, MD If we started testing for this allele, what would be the intervention on those patients to prevent them from committing violence?

Thanks for asking. The intervention would be medications prescribed based on metabolism linked to COMT Val158Met alleles or dietary change. Both link the light-activated assembly of the microRNA-RNA-peptide nanocomplex to biophysically constrained cancer and psychopathy.

Ashley Morgan, MD Do these medications exist? I think this brings up some other ethical issues because not all people with this allele would commit violence.

You were required to learn about G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) in the context of prescription medicine, but not precision medicine. If I had learned about the variant alleles earlier in life, I would have linked the energy-dependent creation of the GPCRs to the prevention of gun violence and the prevention of cancer long ago, via precision medicine, receptor-mediated foraging behavior and the pheromone-controlled physiology of reproduction in species from microbes to humans.
See for instance our section on molecular epigenetics in From Fertilization to Adult Sexual Behavior (1996) The fact that this review of RNA-mediated cell type differentiation was published in “Hormones and Behavior” suggests what pseudoscientists and many physicians have missed.
Indeed, many physicians seem to lose interest in what is known to all serious scientists. I’ve worked with several who follow some of the extant literature, but most cannot afford to take the time to do that, and many have asked me what tests should be ordered in the context of specific patient histories.
Once I tried to explain the rationale for the testing. “I’m not a Ph.D. yelled the doctor; just tell me what test I need to order!” Most others were less ill-tempered.
I’m telling you what testing to order. You’re telling people about gun control.
