Viral latency vs secular humanism (1)

“The single biggest threat to man’s continued dominance on this planet is the virus.” – Dr. Joshua Lederberg, Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine, 1958

Secular humanism may be a bigger threat.

Secular humanism is a philosophy or life stance that embraces human reason, secular ethics, and philosophical naturalism while specifically rejecting religious dogma, supernaturalism, and superstition as the basis of morality and decision making.”

Rejecting religious dogma typically includes rejection of the fact that God’s Creation of sunlight and water has been linked to all oxygen-dependent life on Earth via biophysically constrained viral latency. Simply put, secular humanists appear to have no common sense.
If you let them, they will take the Harvard Business Plan and obfuscate what is known to serious scientists about energy-dependent top-down causation by placing it into the context of ecologically relevant ‘magic traits.’
See: Magic traits in speciation: ‘magic’ but not rare? (2011)
and/or
Genetic dissection of assortative mating behavior (2019)

Ecologically relevant mating cues (sometimes known as “magic traits” [2,6]) are now predicted to be widespread in nature [6,7], and the last few years have seen considerable progress in our understanding of their genetic basis.

Secular humanists and other biologically uninformed science idiots skip the food energy-dependent pheromone-controlled physiology of reproduction detailed for uneducated sheep-herders et al., in Biblical Genesis. That led another Nobel Prize-winner to make this claim about theoretical physicists.

Feynman’s claim led to claims by others that include this one made by Bernard Feringa:

Disabled were walking again, the blind were seeing again, and the death rose from the grave. 2013 was the year in which prophesy from the bible became reality. — De Correspondent dec 2013

…we applied the causes of drug resistance and the role of coordinated actions of these miRNAs to epigenetic changes and selected miRNAs as a potential type of cancer treatment.

Taken together, the article from Medical Laboratory Observer and the article from Laboratory Medicine, which are ‘trade publications’ for medical laboratory scientists, make it appear that publications in top-tired journals are frequently published by biologically uninformed science idiots because the idiots fail to mention microRNAs.
For a historical perspective on that human idiocy, see: Bacteria and viruses have DNA too.

In 1978, he was appointed President of Rockefeller University – the site of Oswald Avery’s Pneumococcus research. From 1990, Lederberg was Professor Emeritus of Rockefeller University.

In 1964, Bruce S. McEwen et al., published Dependence of RNA synthesis in isolated thymus nuclei on glycolysis, oxidative carbohydrate catabolism and a type of “oxidative phosphorylation”

The synthesis of RNA in isolated thymus nuclei is ATP dependent.

After a meeting with Bruce S. McEwen, in 1991, the energy-dependent synthesis of RNA became the focus of my integrative approach to protein biosynthesis and the virus-driven degradation of messenger RNA became the focus of disease prevention by several other serious scientists.
For comparison, secular humanists have always been like “Killer Clowns from Outer Space,” so far as I know. No experimental evidence suggests that secular humanists are examples of intelligent life on this planet.
