There was a turning point, the evolution of a transformative series of chemical reactions that, over time, remade the planet…
They place God’s Creation of sunlight and humidity at the origin of life (THE turning point) into the context of experimental evidence of enzyme-dependent directed evolution, which requires this stupid assumption from 2005.
“Amino acid composition of proteins varies substantially between taxa and, thus, can evolve.”
Enzymes are proteins. No experimental evidence of biologically based energy-dependent cause and effect suggests that either amino acids or the proteins can automagically evolve.The turning point required light-activated microRNA biogenesis and the assembly of the microRNA-RNA-peptide nanocomplex.
In that context, compare the works of 2016 Nobel Laureate Bernard L. Feringa, to the works of their expert, 2018 Nobel Laureate, Frances H. Arnold, who has never explained the evolution of amino acids, enzymes, or other proteins.

Energy is required for molecular mechanisms to work. Feringa links God’s Creation of sunlight from the energy source for all pH-dependent biodiversity on Earth to all biophysically constrained viral latency and healthy longevity across kingdoms via peptide synthesis.

Her group’s model-generated signal peptides (SPs) specify secretion in living cells. But their model does not start with God’s Creation of sunlight and humidity and it does not link oxidative phosphorylation to fixation of RNA-mediated amino acid substitutions and protonated RNA interference via this patent for naturally occurring light-activated carbon fixation and protonated RNA interference.
Simply put, their model of signal peptide-dependent secretion in living cells does not link biophysically constrained viral latency from the generation of signal peptides in the amino acids of proteins to RNA interference, which biophysically constrains all biodiversity on Earth via the physiology of reproduction and Biblical Prophesy.

Ecological variation is the raw material by which natural selection can drive evolutionary divergence [1–4].
The differences in amino acid composition among different tissues can lead to large differences in trophic discrimination [38].

RNA is now at the heart of a scientific and medical revolution.
Ask all pseudoscientists who still tout directed evolution how the evolution of amino acids led to the evolution of proteins via the directed evolution of enzymes, which are proteins.
The circular logic of their arguments has no explanatory power in the context of what is known about biophysically constrained cell type differentiation across kingdoms.
