Although, the MSCs have been approved as the first “off-the-shelf” stem cell pharmaceutical drug, there is no reliable study supporting that the effective EVs yields can be obtained from “off-the shelf” MSCs [145]. In sum, though the examination on the MSC- exosomes applications still faces various challenges, the benefits and capability of MSC- exosomes are appealing growing attention. On the other hand, to promote our comprehension of the possibly ambiguous influences of MSC- exosomes, a better comprehension of their targeting and bio-distribution is of paramount importance. In spite of the development of EVs studies, only a few reports have evaluated EVs biodistribution in animal models for EVs trafficking. For broader utility of EVs, addressing the fate of EV in vivo is of paramount significance.
