The importance of naturally attenuated SARS-CoV-2in the fight against COVID-19 (4/28/20) and other virus-driven diseases was published less than one week after former President Trump clearly stated that sunlight and humidity kill coronaviruses.

In the same year, Dobzhansky (1964) linked substitution of one amino acid, valine in place of glutamic acid in the beta chain of the hemoglobin molecule to sympatric speciation in primates and established the claim that molecular biologists / good men, like McEwen, are serious scientists.

Pseudoscientists, who failed to link the virus-driven degradation of messenger RNA to all diseases via changes in fixation of energy-dependent amino acid substitutions, followed a course that led to the APA’s apology for supporting racism 10/29/21
The APA apology could have been based on something as critical to the understanding of racism as the Differential Expression of Non-Coding RNA Signatures in Thyroid Cancer between Two Ethnic Groups 9/19/21 via this claim from Bruce S. McEwen et al., (1964):

The synthesis of RNA in isolated thymus nuclei is ATP dependent.

The main difference between thymus and thyroid is that thymus is mainly involved in the development and differentiation of T cells whereas thyroid is mainly involved in the secretion of thyroxine and triiodothyronine, which govern the metabolism

That links the ATP-dependent Creation of RNA from single nucleotide polymorphisms in microRNAs to pH-dependent diversity of all cell types in all tissues of all species via what is known about how RNA interference governs metabolism linked to the food energy-dependent creation of the immune system.

I don’t think it is too grand a claim to say that this group of researchers has radically changed how literate people now think about human nature.

I’ve never met a psychologist who I thought was an intelligent serious scientist. However, each of the scientifically illiterate researchers I met changed how some literate people think about human nature. But most of those people are equally scientifically illiterate.
Scientific literacy requires the ability to link physics, chemistry, and biology to energy-dependent links from quantum coherence to coherently organized biology via biophysically constrained viral latency.

That fact was placed into this context:

ZEB1 drives turnover of the MET receptor tyrosine kinase by hastening receptor endocytosis and transport to the lysosomal compartment for degradation. ZEB1 relieves a plus-end-directed microtubule-dependent kinesin motor protein (KIF13A) and a clathrin-associated adaptor protein complex subunit (AP1S2) from microRNA-dependent silencing, thereby accelerating cargo transport through the endocytic recycling and retrograde vesicular pathways, respectively. Depletion of KIF13A or AP1S2 mitigates ZEB1-dependent focal adhesion dynamics, front-rear axis polarization, and cancer cell motility. Thus, ZEB1-dependent transcriptional networks govern vesicular trafficking dynamics to effect cell polarity change.

The challenge for intelligent serious scientists is to explain energy-dependent cell type differentiation to scientifically illiterate psychologists and to other pseudoscientists who know nothing about naturally attenuated viral endemicity. Most psychologists believe in stupid theories about the emergence of energy from the cosmic void and the evolution of humans from pond scum during the past billions to millions of years.
Most will not look at the experimental evidence detailed in more than 130,000 indexed published works that mention microRNAs. You and your children and/or grandchildren may suffer unnecessarily and die prematurely for that reason.
