Amino acid homeostasis for a Happy New Year! 12/31/14

Works by Christ et al., continue to attest to the rejuvenating power of blood. For example, in the context of epigenetic pharmacology and regenerative medicine, one protein in the blood has been linked to health via nutrient-dependent amino acid substitutions that differentiate all cell types in all individuals of all species.

For comparison to what is known to all intelligent serious scientists about how energy-dependent single nucleotide polymorphisms in microRNAs alter mitochondrial metabolism and fixation of amino acid substitutions that differentiate all cell types in all individuals of all species, see:  A universal trend of amino acid gain and loss in protein evolution

Amino acid composition of proteins varies substantially between taxa and, thus, can evolve.

If you believe that claim, stop reading my blog posts. You are a biologically uninformed science idiot.

Moving forward: Happy biophysically constrained Thanksgiving (in the USA) 11/24/16

Is there any other holiday in the world that celebrates biophysically constrained cell type differentiation in all living genera?

Update 11/24/21 microRNA

The page: microRNA-mediated does not exist, but you can still celebrate Thanksgiving Day and thank God for His ATP-dependent Creation of RNA because His Creation of sunlight and humidity link food energy from biophysically constrained microRNA-mediated RNA interference to naturally attenuated viral endemicity and healthy longevity across kingdoms via the physiology of reproduction and Biblical Genesis.
See: How to conjugate the stemness marker ALDH1A1 with tumor angiogenesis, progression, and drug resistance 3/19/20

Twenty years ago, Hanahan and Weinberg published a milestone review, in which they organized the complexity of tumor biology into six major hallmarks, including cell stemness[1]. An updated review from 2011 by the same authors added two emerging hallmarks: reprogramming of energy metabolism and evading immune destruction. The translation of hallmarks into clinical practice has been proved by the development of drugs associated with specific hallmarks[2], but the view of their complementarity is necessary to explain the heterogeneity of cancer[3].

…we describe a new role for miR-101-3p as a modulator of mitochondrial metabolism via its regulation of multiple mitochondrial processes, including mtDNA transcription and complex II biogenesis.

This updated review of energy-dependent reprogramming of stem cells, links God’s Creation of energy to naturally attenuated viral endemicity across kingdoms via facts about the prevention of virus-driven degradation of messenger RNA, which is the link to all pathology.

The interactions between Emiliania huxleyi and E. huxleyi virus (EhV) regulate marine carbon and sulfur biogeochemical cycle and play a prominent role in global climate change.

For a historical perspective that links biotic interactions to see: Eukaryotic plankton diversity in the sunlit ocean 5/22/15

…biotic interactions, rather than competition for resources and space (62), are the primary forces driving organismal diversification…

…interactions between archaea and their viruses might play a profound, previously underestimated role in the functioning of deep-sea ecosystems and in global biogeochemical cycles.

Light-activated peptide synthesis at the origin of life appears to be the link from pheromone-regulated genetic processes of reproduction to  Spindle-shaped viruses infect marine ammonia-oxidizing thaumarchaea 7/16/18

…viral predation has a profound impact on thaumarchaeal functioning and mortality, thereby regulating global biogeochemical cycles.”

The interactions attest to the fact that theories about abiogenesis and neo-Darwinian evolution exemplify human idiocy.

James Kohl presents an unsupported challenge to modern evolutionary theory and misrepresentations of established scientific terms and others’ research. It was a mistake to let such a sloppy review through to be published.

Editor’s note

The 2013 review article by James Vaughn Kohl published in Socioaffective Neuroscience & Psychology and criticized in the above Letter to the Editor was subjected to standard peer review and the revised version was accepted by me after it had been accepted by both reviewers.

The p53 signaling pathway was found among pathways that were targeted by dysregulated miRNAs at a greater level than expected by chance. This study provides a mechanistic insight into regulation of the p53 pathway through miRNAs that may contribute to the establishment of latency.

For comparison, theorists seem to take perverse pleasure when people who cannot understand the facts about God’s Creation fail to differentiate between ultraviolet light (UV) and visible light.
When his faith crumbles, an ‘Amish atheist’ rebuilds his world from scratch (video)
His faith began to crumble when he failed to link God’s Creation of UV light on day 1 to His Creation of the sun’s visible light on Day 4.
UV light and visible light are required for plant growth, but femtosecond blasts of
UV have also been linked to DNA repair.
