The biogenesis of circular RNAs and their regulatory roles link our claims in the molecular epigenetics section of From Fertilization to Adult Sexual Behavior (1996) to reports on experimentally established facts about biophysically constrained viral endemicity across kingdoms.

Positive Darwinian selection (natural selection for food energy-dependent codon optimality) is obviously the driving force behind rapid ecological adaptations, which are exemplified in Drosophila, marine invertebrates, mouse, rat and in primates.
In primates, Dobzhansky (1973) linked natural selection for energy-dependent codon optimality to fixation of one amino acid substitution that differentiated humans and chimpanzees from gorillas.

For example, the so-called alpha chains of hemoglobin have identical sequences of amino acids in man and the chimpanzee, but they differ in a single amino acid (out of 141) in the gorilla (p. 127).

For differences in hemoglobin variants and individuals of the same species, see: HbVar: A Database of Human Hemoglobin Variants and Thalassemias

The hemoglobinopathies, or Hb variants, are attributable to amino acid substitution(s) in either globin chain. Currently, 1417 total hemoglobin variants have been characterized.

Knowing that hemoglobin variants are nutrient-dependent and constrained by the physiology of pheromone-regulated genetic processes of reproduction in species from yeasts to primates, led Pfizer to acquire Trillium Therapeutics.
See: Pfizer Completes Acquisition of Trillium Therapeutics 11/17/21 The acquisition attests to the fact that nutrient-dependent pheromone-regulated genetic processes of reproduction have been linked to this patent, which is assigned to Trillium. Pheromones and the luteinizing hormone for inducing proliferation of neural stem cells and neurogenesis
It was previously assigned to Stem Cell Therapeutics Corp., but it’s been linked to the Official Twitter handle of the RNA Therapeutics Institute, which claims to be uniting nucleic acid scientists with clinicians to devise human therapies.
