Moronic theorists (9)

On 4/23/20, Donald Trump correctly claimed that sunlight and humidity might prevent coronavirus replication. He did not try to prove his point, and fools claimed he said to inject bleach.

However, the 2024 Nobel Prize for the discovery of microRNA and its role in post-transcriptional gene regulation helped to prove Trump’s point and Merian’s book about the diet of caterpillars and their metamorphosis into moths led me to see if Greg J. Hannon’s works were linked from Darwin’s “conditions of life” (sunlight and humidity) to all pH-dependent biodiversity on Earth via the physiology of reproduction and Biblical Genesis.

I found that Greg Hannon had been working with others to establish that fact, albeit in the context of drug development. See: We are Eleven Therapeutics (Tx)

Unleashing the power of RNA to create precise, durable therapeutics.

In 2012, I learned that nothing happens to any cell in any species unless it is miRNA-mediated. I made the mistake of thinking that Greg J. Hannon linked biophysically constrained miRNA-mediated viral latency to RNA interference in NOVA scienceNOW : 8 – RNAi, and that the issue was settled. See why:

Selected publications:

Claim about genetic and biochemical analyses of RNAi were linked to viral latency across kingdoms by all intelligent serious scientists. Hannon’s 2010 publication with senior author Svante Paabo, an evolutionary theorist, surprised me. The 2015 model of breast cancer heterogeneity was shocking. It suggested that “…two secreted proteins, and the phenotype they promote, may be broadly relevant as drivers of metastatic progression in human cancer.”

So far as I know, phenotypes do not drive cancer. In fact 20 copies of p53 in cancer-free African elephants support Jacques Monod’s claim that “What is true for E. coli is true for the elephant.” That claim links energy-dependent changes in single nucleotide polymorphisms to fixation of amino acids via: Targeted investigation of the Neandertal genome by array-based sequence capture 5/7/10

The authors, including Greg Hannon, identified 88 amino acid substitutions, which they inferred became fixed in humans since our divergence from the Neandertals 120,000 years ago.

Inferences are common among biologically uniformed theorists, but see Analysis of 6,515 exomes reveals the recent origin of most human protein-coding variants

This was reported as: “Past 5,000 years prolific for changes to human genome” 11/28/12

“The findings confirm their earlier work suggesting that the majority of variants, including potentially harmful ones, were picked up during the past 5,000โ€“10,000 years.”

I’m disgusted by the number of times my citations to McEwen et al., and Dobzhansky (1964) have been ignored by theorists after the facts linked the ATP-dependent Creation of RNA in regulatory T cells to fixation of one amino acid substitution that differentiated the morphological and behavioral phenotypes of chimpanzees and humans from gorillas during the past 5-10,000 years.

But even more disgusting is the fact that the works from 1964 can be linked to 179,383 results from this search for miRNAs. Sixty years of results (1964-2024) suggest that only energy-dependent miRNA-mediated protein folding chemistry is relevant. Simply put, fixation of amino acid substitutions in microtubules protects all organized genomes from the virus-driven degradation of mRNA via miRNA-abundance and RNA interference (RNAi).

Svante Paabo may pretend he doesn’t know that, but see: Hannon GJ and mirnas 88 results, MicroRNA-driven developmental remodeling in the brain distinguishes humans from other primates and MicroRNA expression and regulation in human, chimpanzee, and macaque brains (2011) –co-authored by Paabo who won the won the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his gene-centric theories of human evolution.

The moronic gene-centric theories have not been linked from epigenetic effects of food odors and pheromones to Predicting human miRNA disease association with minimize matrix nuclear norm 12/28/24 But that does not stop gene-centric theorists from touting their pseudoscientific inferences without linking the inferences to animal models of energy-dependent viral latency. Thank God for intelligent serious scientists.
