Patents for “RNA-guided human genome engineering” (aka “Owning the Sun”) and the patent for the pheromone regulated physiology of reproduction across kingdoms (aka biophysically constrained viral latency) exemplify confusion caused by changes in terms.

My group linked nutrient-dependent pheromone regulated alternative splicings of pre-mRNAs in yeasts from sexual differentiation in yeast, Drosophila, mice and humans to all biodiversity on Earth in Fertilization to Adult Sexual Behavior (1996) via the C. elegans model organism.

Like Grok, they failed to link what organisms eat from the physiology of reproduction to all biodiversity on earth via fixation of amino acid substitutions that stabilize organized genomes in species from microbes to mammals. Instead we got nonsense, like this.
