How cancer was created by evolution (revisited)

Cell division in our bodies is very heavily controlled. For instance, when you were first growing your hands, some cells went through “cell suicide” – a process called apoptosis – to carve out the spaces between your fingers.

My comment: Cell division is energy-dependent and the result is controlled by the physiology of reproduction in species from microbes to humans.  Energy-dependent RNA-mediated cell type differentiation must link angstroms to ecosystems via the creation of functional structures. The functional structures are examples of how ecological variation must be linked to ecological adaptation by serious scientists. For comparison, see:

Histones can be modified on a number of amino acids, particularly lysines, by the addition of acetyl or methyl groups. Combinatorial patterns of these modifications act to enhance or repress gene expression. Allis describes work from his lab and others, which demonstrates that mutations in histone (for instance a lysine to methionine mutation) may block these modifications and, thus, impact gene expression. Sadly, these “onco-histone” mutations have been identified as the cause of many diseases…

My comment (removed from the YouTube video site): Allis tries to make others continue to believe that virus-driven energy theft and mutations can be placed into the context of “Nature” and onco-histones, when viral latency is the source of all pathology.

His wordplay exemplifies what’s wrong with academics who refuse to accept facts about biophysically constrained protein folding chemistry — even after the facts have linked energy-dependent changes in angstroms to ecosystems in all living genera via fixation of RNA-amino acid substitutions in all organized genomes.

For example, in the video, he links “Nature” to the death of Steve Jobs, after others have linked virus-driven energy theft to all pathology.Find the first use of the term “oncohistone mutations” to see who else is involved in the latest attempt to obfuscate what serious scientists know about biologically-based healthy longevity for comparison to virus-driven energy theft and all pathology in species from yeasts to humans.

My comments on misrepresentations of biologically-based cause and effect are consistently removed from many different sources of “science news.”

‘Quantum jitters’ could form basis of evolution, cancer

“This is a remarkable study that illuminates a fundamental mechanism responsible for the random mutations that drive evolution and contribute to cancer,” said Bert Vogelstein, M.D., a cancer researcher at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine who was not involved in this research.

Some of my past comments are still available. For example, I commented as JVK for several years on this site before being banned from participation:

They appear to have eliminated de Vries definition of “mutation” and the assumptions that population geneticists made about how long the evolution of a new species might take.DonGateley asks the intelligent question

… is it conceivable that the jitter process and the correction process could be part of a closed loop where the jitter acts as a sensing set point around which the correction rate can be made to vary?

The intelligent answer is: YES! That’s what serious scientists would expect to occur in the context of an atoms to ecosystems model of nutrient-dependent cell type differentiation — if the availability of nutrients biophysically constrained the chemistry of RNA-mediated protein folding, which it obviously does. That’s how ecological variation leads to ecological adaptations in species from microbes to man. It’s via RNA-mediated DNA repair and adaptations, which are limited by the food supply and pheromone-controlled reproduction.

I wonder if the change in a single base pair affects the quaternary folding through charge variations in that region of the molecule?

I’ve wondered about that, too. No one ever answered my questions about the sun’s biological energy and switches in the quaternary structure and exciton states of cryptophyte light-harvesting proteins. I thought it was obvious that light-induced amino acid substitutions in plants and animals linked their cell type differentiation to the switches via the physiology of reproduction and fixation of the amino acid substitutions.

But the attacks on that apparent fact by biologically uninformed science idiots show up each time I mention anything about it.

Watch for them here (the science idiots, I mean).
