How a happy moment for neuroscience is a sad moment for science

Systems neuroscience is celebrating a landmark, but one that shows the way we do science is broken.

Excerpt:

These data are the first complete set of neural activity recordings released before publication. No papers preceded it; not even a report. Nothing. Just: here you go guys, the fruits of the joint labour of around 100 people over 4 years.”

My comment: They released the information on June 13, 2016.

Nutrient-dependent/pheromone-controlled adaptive evolution: a model was published on June 14, 2013. So was Mutation-Driven Evolution.

On May 11, 2016 Paul M. Lieberman linked the nutrient energy-dependent difference between viral persistence (pathology) and viral latency (potential pathology) from microbes to humans via the pheromone-controlled physiology of reproduction. In other published works, everything known to serious scientists about the biophysically constrained chemistry of RNA-mediated protein folding has been linked from angstroms to ecosystems in all living genera via the energy-dependent physiology of reproduction.

What should have been reported as the end of neo-Darwinian theory was not, so far as I know, reported at all.

On May 11, 2016, I presented RNA-mediated physics, chemistry, and molecular epigenetics as the last in a 4-part series that included What is life when it is not protected from virus driven entropy.
