They propose that the anti-entropic energy of sunlight be linked from the creation of differences in the energy of photons to the biogenesis of microRNAs. What is known about the creation of energy and biophotonics may be used to maximize food growth, maximize the supply of renewable energy and to maximize the supply of water.
The acronym for food, energy and water supplies is FEW. They present what they think is a “…novel solar spectrum unbundling FEW systems (SUFEWS).” Scientists have been credited for the discovery of how to use the sun as the link from Darwin’s energy-dependent “conditions of life” to sustain life on Earth.
The grand challenge before us is to sustainably meet the needs of a full Earth using scarcer resources, and the sun is the key energy source to achieve this goal.
See for comparison: What is Life? (1944)
Indeed, in the case of higher animals we know the kind of orderliness they feed upon well enough, viz. the extremely well-ordered state of matter in more or less complicated organic compounds, which serve them as foodstuffs. After utilizing it they return it in a very much degraded form -not entirely degraded, however, for plants can still make use of it. (These, of course, have their most power supply of ‘negative entropy’ the sunlight.)
In 1944, Schrödinger presciently predicted the end of atheism associated with communism by placing the creation of the sun’s anti-entropic virucidal energy first.
The communists who took the reins in China in 1949 viewed religion as backward and superstitious. Authorities did their best to wipe out religious life. And by the end of the 1970s, they’d been very successful.
Schrödinger’s unstated predictions about the end of communism can now be placed into the context of the end of atheism and the ability of scientific creationists from South Korea to create a virus that would kill only the populations of Chinese is communist China.
The denuclearization of North Korea is expected to be announced later today.
