Graphic misrepresentations of ecological adaptation

This infographic breaks down the top five misconceptions about evolution

Excerpt: “This definition is the best description to date that captures the ever-changing living world.”
[W]hat Haldane, Fisher, Sewell Wright, Hardy, Weinberg et al. did was invent…. Evolution was defined as “changes in gene frequencies in natural populations.” The accumulation of genetic mutations was touted to be enough to change one species to another…. Assumptions, made but not verified, were taught as fact.
Serious scientists refuse to accept assumptions based on definitions. See instead: “Combating Evolution to Fight Disease”
…an important gap is being filled by molecular understanding of the genesis of variation that confers the ability to evolve.
The genesis of variation that confers the ability to adapt to ecological variation is nutrient-dependent. It links the sun’s biological energy from the light-induced de novo creation of amino acids to cell type differentiation via amino acid substitutions in all cells of all individuals of all genera. For example Dobzhansky (1973) noted that: “…the so-called alpha chains of hemoglobin have identical sequences of amino acids in man and the chimpanzee, but they differ in a single amino acid (out of 141) in the gorilla” (p. 127).
In other animals, across-species examples are integrated with what is known about the biophysically constrained nutrient-dependent pheromone-controlled RNA-mediated chemistry of protein folding. See: Nutrient-dependent/pheromone-controlled adaptive evolution: a model.
The examples can be compared to the ongoing misrepresentations of biologically-based cause and effect in Mutation-Driven Evolution
“… genomic conservation and constraint-breaking mutation is the ultimate source of all biological innovations and the enormous amount of biodiversity in this world.”
Alternatively, pseudoscientists can continue use definitions in attempts to describe what actually occurs in the ever-changing living world of ecological variation. Variation must lead to ecological adaptations via conserved molecular mechanisms for biodiversity to arise and be maintained by the transfer of energy as information. The infographic does not address that fact. It concludes: “”If we map the different forms of gene (alleles) within a population & after a few generations the frequency changes, evolution has occurred.”
Five amino acids in three HLA proteins explain most of the association between MHC and seropositive rheumatoid arthritis. The infographic suggests that rheumatoid arthritis and other diseases attributed to mutations that perturb protein folding evolved. This suggestion is due to the fact that the creator of the infographic does not know the difference between a nutrient-dependent amino acid substitution and a mutation.
