Energy and evolution: another opinion?

The Vital Question: Energy, Evolution, and the Origins of Complex Life

Excerpt: Building on the pillars of evolutionary theory, Lane’s hypothesis draws on cutting-edge research into the link between energy and cell biology in order to deliver a compelling account of evolution from the very origins of life to the emergence of multicellular organisms while offering deep insights into our own lives and deaths.”
My comment: The pillars of evolutionary theory have been toppled by facts that link the biological energy from the sun to nutrient-dependent RNA-mediated cell type differentiation via base pair changes and amino acid substitutions linked to the physiology of reproduction via chromosomal rearrangements in all nutrient-dependent biophysically constrained biomass.
For example: Estrogen receptor α polymorphism in a species with alternative behavioral phenotypes

our results illustrate a detailed chain of events linking a chromosomal rearrangement to changes in overt social behavior.

“Vietvet” (aka Steven Taylor) asks: If not abiogenesis, how did life arise?
In 1944, Schrodinger claimed:

Indeed, in the case of higher animals we know the kind of orderliness they feed upon well enough, viz. the extremely well-ordered state of matter in more or less complicated organic compounds, which serve them as foodstuffs. After utilizing it they return it in a very much degraded form -not entirely degraded, however, for plants can still make use of it. (These, of course, have their most power supply of ‘negative entropy’ the sunlight)

In the foreword to: What is Life?: With Mind and Matter and Autobiographical Sketches (Canto Classics), Roger Penrose asks:

How often do we still hear that quantum effects can have little relevance in the study of biology, or even that we eat food in order to gain energy?

My comment: For comparison, how often do we hear that mutations lead to evolution?
Who, if anyone, is still making such ridiculous claims.
Viruses steal the energy that is required for epigenetically-effected biophysically constrained protein folding chemistry that links nutrient-dependent RNA-mediated amino acid substitutions to cell type differentiation via the physiology of reproduction and physical landscape of DNA in all living genera.
Nutrient energy is required to link RNA-mediated epigenetic regulation of gene expression and RNA-mediated gene silencing to cell type differentiation in all cell types of all individuals of all living genera.
