My summary: They link failed energy-dependent microRNA biogenesis from the virus-driven degradation of messenger RNA to “…early and sustained activation of anti-oxidant signalling and dysregulation of iron metabolism…”
For comparison, perfected microRNA biogenesis links quorum sensing in bacteria to ecological adaptations and ethnic diversity via more than 1800 human hemoglobin variants that biophysically constrain viral latency and sympatric speciation. Dmitri Petrov’s group tried to sneak up from behind with thinly disguised refutations of theistic evolution. They will help others realize that theorists have been forced to change their claims about evolution to fit the claims made by serious scientists about adaptations.

Serious scientists acknowledge that the virus-driven degradation of messenger RNA is the biggest threat to our future that humanity has ever faced. Pseudoscientists may not enjoy this comic relief.

That’s how they link light-activated microRNA biogenesis to the effective treatment and/or cure for all cancers and to the end of theistic evolution.
